Frauen*kampftag! Die Arschlöcherinnen & Doll Circus

These badass women make fatherfucking hip hop with fat, self-produced beats.
Their provocative lyrics deal with feminist issues. Their stage performances
are refined with small choreographies. Their long-term goal: to take down patriarchy.

5 Girls play Spice'n'Roll: Since early 2020, Doll Circus have been fusing their very own take on hard rock with punk, kokolores, glam, and a pinch of metal into a spicy soup that penetrates the ears in an ecstatic way and burrows deep into the synapses. Lyrically, they oscillate between exuberant nonsense, emancipated messages, and socially critical commentary without falling into the trap of grumpiness. DOLL CIRCUS knows no inflated egos, no conformism, and no bullshit. Life's a bitch, so keep on truckin'—free your soul and join the Circus!

With our concert on Women's Day, we want to remind everyone: Who is on stage? Whose voices are being heard? And who has had to fight for this space again and again?

Women in music have never just been there. They have shaped scenes, developed sounds, pushed boundaries. And yet, especially in so-called alternative music forms, they are still less likely to be represented on stage, less likely to headline, less likely to be produced, less likely to be paid equally. That's exactly why evenings like this are important.

With Arschlöcherinnen and Doll Circus, we have two acts, two completely different genres—and that's exactly the idea behind it. Feminism doesn't have a uniform sound. It can be loud or quiet, raw or refined, uncomfortable or loving. Showing how diverse strength can be.

The concert stands for diversity, artistic freedom, and the conviction that women belong on every stage. Not sometime in the future. But now!

Incidentally, like so many of our evenings, the entire evening is organized by women*, both in the preliminary planning and in the actual realization.
